‘Agriculture – at the heart of society’ - Show of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Hall 23a
Taking as its slogan ‘Agriculture – at the heart of society’, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) will be staging its 44th special show at the 83rd International Green Week 2018 in Berlin. From 19 to 28 January the focus in Hall 23a will be on a modern and sustainable farming and fishing industry, rural areas as a place to live and work in, and knowledge about food and intelligent consumption. Sustainable and responsible handling of resources in farming and fishing, horticulture and the food chain will be the dominant theme at the exhibition. Sustainability is the guiding principle of efficient land cultivation and production of quality foods.
In the middle of the hall the BMEL will be presenting itself as a driving force of the food and farming sector and will highlight current political themes and research activities. The Family and Students Forum will be offering a wide range of activities for students and adults, including a fascinating ’rallye’ around the entire BMEL hall. A cooking show and bakery will be inviting visitors to while away the time, and a colourful programme of stage events with figures from politics and business will have entertaining information on the latest topics.
