Professional Center expands range of services for trade visitors
At the International Green Week Berlin 2018 (19 – 28 Jan.) Messe Berlin is expanding its range of business-oriented services for trade visitors. Away from the bustle of the fair the place to head from 22 to 26 January will be the Professional Center in the Marshall Haus. This is where buyers, retailers, caterers and F&B managers can obtain a concise overview and sample the regional specialities displayed on the stands of national and international producers at the Green Week. It will also provide representatives of the retail food sector, the food industry and catering trade with a relaxed atmosphere for expert talks and an opportunity to find out more about innovations and obtain information on the five days of Professional Day events.
Trade visitors and in particular retailers will be invited to attend the Green Week Professional Days where they can meet up with producers. Visitors can find out online from the Green Week’s Virtual Market Place and, starting in January 2018, from the Green Week website about the individual products on display at the Professional Center. These are listed by category rather than countries, which will make it easier for trade visitors searching for their own market segment.
No other event hosts so many exhibitors with such a diverse display of regional German products. In particular small companies offering regional products are an attractive proposition for the retail food sector in areas where the market is looking for drop shipment business in regional and traditional products.
On 24 January, taking place there for the first time, the Green Week Startup Day will be mainly targeting food retail representatives. This is where food sector startups will be able to present their company and products. Besides delivering a brief pitch to the jury they will also be available for questions.
