Regional and authentic - An invitation from some 500 exhibitors from German’s states to undertake a culinary tour of the country, from the coast to the Alps
Consumers enjoy food from the regions, and there is always a very good response by the public to such authentic presentations. This is a trend that is being continued again in 2018 at the International Green Week Berlin: from 19 to 28 January eight halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds will feature the widest possible range of regional specialities to be found at any trade fair. Some 500 exhibitors from Germany’s federal states are inviting visitors to sample tasty delights from all over the country. For ten days Germany’s regions, from the coast to the Alps, will be serving up their foodstuffs and luxury foods at the Green Week. The various federal states will be presenting their culinary highlights in settings that reflect their different landscapes, towns and villages. Local specialities with a typical regional flavour are being exhibited by Baden-Württemberg (Hall 5.2b), Bavaria (22b), Berlin (21b), Brandenburg (21a), Hesse (22a), Mecklenburg-West Pomerania (5.2b), Lower Saxony (20), North Rhine-Westphalia (5.2a), Rhineland-Palatinate (2.2), Saxony (21b), Saxony-Anhalt (23b), Schleswig-Holstein (22a) and Thuringia (20).
